The groups that congregate here should be taken seriously, and are likely to target the nearby Seattle Police Department's East Precinct.

RECOMMENDATION: Capitol Hill and Downtown Seattle continue to be hotbeds for ANTIFA and BLM activity. Avoid Capitol Hill and Downtown Seattle if possible, and do not engage protestors if encountered.

Seattle, WA / August 30, 2020 / 13:00 / Activists Planning Demonstration at Volunteer Park in Capitol Hill

SIGACTS/SITREP: Activists are planning a protest at 13:00 on August 30 in Volunteer Park after a week of violent protests. Volunteer park is relatively close to a Washington State Patrol building, is surrounded by an affluent residential area, and is just north of an upscale retail area.

RECOMMENDATION: Continue to use extreme caution in Capitol Hill, but also use caution leaving Seattle via the 520 bridge and entering into Seattle via the 520 bridge on Sunday as the Washington State Patrol Building is right near the I-5 North exit off the 520. Travel through Downtown Seattle via I-5 and the SR-99 should be avoided unless necessary.
